Team 15 - Enneapous
Meeting Minutes - Oct. 16, 2009
In attendance:
Dr. Magierowski, Nathan, Danielle, and Mike
Tasks:
- Danielle - Send in meeting minutes.
- Mike - Specify version of software in specs. Work on Magierowski’s suggestions for moving forward.
- Nathan - Work on Magierowski’s suggestions for moving forward.
Notes:
- What operating system are we going to be running the simulation on, can it run on more than Linux?
- Is the laser going to be too difficult? Nathan thinks that he can find a laser driver, you can give it directions and it run from there. Dr. Magierowski will be looking into this for us.
- The features and performace of the spec look good Dr. Magierowski will make any additional comments on the specs to make sure the customers needs are being met.
- The current spec is the most ambitious we will have a better understanding what is and isn’t possible in January.
- Something to be aware of is the difficulty with real time: when creating the local path planner the map merging with the old and new might be challenging.
- Dr. Magierowski will talk to Jonathan about his 2-d global planner and see how his work can help ours.
- Top Four get rights in the coming week:
- Understanding the 2-D implementation of simulating a helicopter, to do this we can use Jonathans code.
- Take Jonathan’s code and write code to have a robot responding in a 2-D world.
- Figure out the mapping issues, see what the map will look like because we know it won’t be perfect.
- Take what you have implemented in 2-D and try to code for 3-D.
